Only in the SHARED settings for temporary folder Grid Stacks, as you and I previously discussed. This is by design: although temporary Grid Stacks all use the same settings, they may pop up on monitors with different DPI settings and therefore cannot be forced to use the same scaling. Instead, each temporary folder Grid Stack inherits the scaling setting of its parent object, which is why the scaling control was removed from the Properties panel of the shared Grid Stack settings.

Yeah, that should have used the same scaling as the Desktop parent behind it. What you need to refresh my memory on is:

1. What is that Desktop parent thingy? A Shelf with a single tab (I think that's it, right)? Another temporary Grid Stack? A permanent Grid Stack?

2. What is the DPI (screen scaling) of the monitor those two are popping up at? Is that the primary monitor at 125% DPI or the built-in secondary monitor at 200% DPI?

At least, there is something strange with the size of the grid stack.

Is it due to the beta version ?

File comment: Hi DannyV92,

For the life of me cannot get my Grid Stack to open in full screen like this and get 3 x 5 grid configuration as is in your screen shot here without double clicking the exterior grid walls.

Were you able to get this full screen size natively or do you also have to double click to get the full screen version?

Cheers!

Ok I had a doubt at first because of the issue with I've just seen. Indeed, it should inherit from the parent's scaling. That's what we discussed as it should vary with the monitor dpi in the same way of the parents.

So here we go again  Being mechanical engineer (but I code a little also), it reminds me of an hydraulic bench test I designed and built. There was a leakage..I solved it..and another leakage appeared further on the tubes. And again and again...until the whole bench collapsed so that I took a shower :P

So far, yes this is a shelf with a single tap as before and the grid stack is for folders inside this unique tab. The issue is thus with the so-called temporary grid stack.

BUT WAIT...for an unknown reason, the issue has resolved itself here !
The main thing that has changed recently:
-Graphical driver update
-New Windows Update with features from 26h2

I will monitor closely.
What I can already see, is that sometimes opening the temporary grid stack does not work for one folder. I can click 4-5 times..it does nothing. I click on another folder, it works. Go back to the non-working one and it works again. But sometimes not and I need to click elsewhere and it is ok. Very difficult to reproduce.

My setup is still the same:
Monitor1 (built-in): 200%
Monitor2 (24 wqhd): 125%
Monitor3 (24 fhd): 100%

Sorry but actually I don't use the grid stack in fullscreen.
I have shelves and I open temporary grid stack from shelves. It seems it is fullscreen on the snapshot because it cut the printscreen just around the shelf.

Oh great, just what we needed at the last minute to drive me crazy, a random issue that cannot be reliably reproduced. :D

Ditto. But you need to mind the details, that is where the devil always lies. For instance, when nothing happens, does the launch animation play or is the click completely ignored? If the launch animation plays, what happens if you wait a few seconds before clicking elsewhere? Is it always the same folder or it varies? For instance, the folder might be in a hard disk that powers off to save energy - you're running a laptop - and needs time to power back on and spin up to speed - and while it's doing that the shelf has to wait.
