Don't mind the in-dock modules not having a reflection yet, still working on it. You can also set the reflection size, by the way (i.e. in this case it is half an icon, but it can go up to the full icon being reflected). This will be a per dock/shelf special effect setting.

Out of curiosity, how will reflections work (if at all) when the dock is on the bottom, left or right? Screenshots?

Yes. but remember that icon reflections are always vertical (i.e. below the icon) regardless of the dock orientation. Anyway, I don't think you need to take reflections into consideration when making your theme - for starters it is all automatic and will work with any theme, second it is a per user setting as is how much the icon is reflected.
