 Post subject: Pin Programs on taskbar

Does anybody know if it is possible to pin open programs on the taskbar like in Windows 7. I use Windows XP with a Windows 7 theme so instead of using the quicklaunch toolbar i would like to pin open programs to the taskbar.

Personally I'm not a big fan of the Windows 7 taskbar.

For you, what exactly is the difference between pinning a running application to the taskbar vs. placing it on the Quick Launch section?

The main difference (for me) is that pinning has some additional features for certain apps. For example, if you pin the Remote Desktop app, you can right click on it and it will show you all your recent connections and you can quickly jump to one. Really pretty cool IMO.

So in your case what you really want are Win7 jumplists and not really the ability to 'pin' an application to the taskbar. :wink:
