Win 7 x64 and WSXT Public beta 10.1. I have two problems with it:

1. Nextstart "All Programs/Games" item refers to "C:/Programs Files (x86)/Microsoft Games" whereas in my case it in "C:/Programs Files" folder. How to change this setting?

2. When I click on Desktop tab of Workself or Nextstart Desktop item both programs crash.

1 - Unfortunately the shortcuts in the Microsoft Games folder in the Start Menu of Windows 7 64 bit versions are not direct links to the applications themselves, and cannot be resolved properly due to the registry re-direction that Windows applies to 32 bit applications running in a 64 bit environment.

This said, I kind of solved the problem for next release via an ugly, hard coded, 'hack'.

2. That's a new one. Try the following: make a temporary folder in your desktop and then move all the shortcuts in the Desktop into it. NextSTART and WorkShelf should now display the contents of the Desktop folder without crashing.

Now start adding back the shorcuts you moved to the temporary folder, one by one, until NextSTART and/or WorkShelf start crashing again. That particular shortcut will/should be your culprit: please report back what happened and what that shortcut is.

Palych, any news on this?

I suspect there is a conflict with UPEC Inc. fingerprint device and software on my laptop. It installed a a so called Personal Safe folder on desktop that I can't move to another folder from there and NextStart and WorkShelf continue to crash
