So, I updated my Nexus yesterday (my first install was using the installer from the website around two weeks ago), now, it doesn't run on startup, even if I didn't do anything to change the settings. The checkbox in the General tab of the Preferences (Run on WIndows Startup) is ticked.

My current version is 10.1, BTW.

When you exit Nexus, try unchecking then checking the 'Run on startup' box.

I did that, but it foesn't work. I even checked the Startup tab at MSCONFIG, and Nexus.exe isn't on the list.

Open the Windows Registry Editor and navigate to the following key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

Is there a 'Nexus' entry in there somewhere? If so, does it have any value?

Either way, for now you can always make it auto-run by placing a shortcut to Nexus in the Start Menu's 'Startup' folder. :-P

The problem seems to have been fixed, I unchecked, restarted, checked, then restarted again. The dock appeared after the last restart. Will check again a little later/tomorrow.

Damn. Err, I mean, good for you, bad for me - now I won't know what was wrong in the first place.

Actually, something like that was happening here with the 10.1 beta 1 public
offering. Workshelf is no longer "registering" itself for startup.
Whether I set it in the prefs or from the dialog you get when exiting
Xtreme as a whole WS is not there.
I had to stick it in manually where it was before using Mike Lin's Startup
Control Panel.
No problem with NextSTART.
