Hello,

Before anything, i start by saying this is the most complete and awesome/beautiful fully functional Dock System i've seen.
Been trying it for 1 week, found no flaws. I completely disabled Windows taskbar.

Just a side note:
I tried W7 and my experience with it was SLOW.
I use XP PRO SP3 32-bits, and with 4 other small applications and Nexus, i get same visuals and functions as W7, with a MUCH more responsive PC.

Now, i noticed small issues:

1 - Fluid Reflection Settings, if i set horizontal and/or vertical wave frequency to 4, icons reflection movement is smooth, above 4 it gets jumpy, makes it look like a "broken recording" repetition.

2 - I have the option "Keep the dock: Always below other windows", with edge activation. When i click the StartMenu icon, if i don't move the mouse slightly fast, it will close. But if there is a window open and the bottom edge of StartMenu stays close to the bottom edge of that window, it will stay there.
(My wife removed an item from the dock trying to click "Turn Off Computer")

3 - If Internet Explorer window is maximized, Nexus edge activation works, with I.E. full-screen(F11) it will not, same with "My Computer" or "Windows Explorer" windows when maximized.
This is probably the normal way to work, but would be good if user can decide if still wants edge activation with maximized windows.

4 - I have "Group system tray icons" active and mouse effect "Magnify"
When i pass mouse over tray icons, they will land outside the Dock and i have to move mouse up a bit, wich makes it less confortable to click.
Would it be possible to disable "Magnify" effect to tray icons and keep it for rest of the dock ?

5 - When i pass mouse over clock item, it always shows "sunday, jul 11 2010"
At first i though it had something to do with windows time service in services.msc (wich i have disabled) and "Automatically synchronize with an Internet time server" where you can choose a server.
With the second window popup description information, shows time and date correctly.
It's like if the item tag is blocked to "sunday, jul 11 2010" (why that date :?:)

Thats it for now, waiting for news soon.

The fluid reflection effect is a repetive effect based on a sine wave. How well certain values will work depend on current dock icon size.

Try increasing the delay or even disabling the 'Pop up dock on mouseover' setting in Nexus Preferences -> Advanced -> Misc.Advanced.

Maximized windows are one thing, full screen windows quite another. Nexus disables edge activations and hot keys when it detects a full screen window (such as a game) is running.

No, that wouldn't work, sorry. You can either 'ungroup' the tray icons or use another effect. If you were running Nexus Ultimate, you would be able to create a separate dock, dedicated to the system tray, with a non-magnify mouseover effect.

Ah, hmm, yeah, that was a stupid bug. Download the silent update from

http://www.winstep.net/nexus-exe.zip

and install it on top of your current Nexus installation. Don't forget to exit all running Winstep applications before installing the update.

Thanks for the reply.

1 - Tried different icon values, didn't improve the jumpy movement. However i found out that vertical wave frequency to 5,6,7 is much more noticeable, with 8 its just fast as i don't see it jumpy, horizontal seems to work fine.

2 - It was solved using 500 ms.
(Damn, i could swear i tried this before and didn't work)

3 - Quote: "Nexus disables edge activations and hot keys when it detects a full screen window (such as a game) is running."

I know maximized and full-screen are different. Maybe i wasn't clear, but with maximized windows opened with My Computer or Windows Explorer edge activation doesn't work, but it works with I.E. maximized.

4- Can i place running applications in a separate dock along with system tray icons with Nexus Ultimate ?

5 - Sorry for the curiosity, but why a 13MB update for a tag clock bug ?

Ah, almost forgot. I have my computer connected to the TV in the living room. I've set 1280x720 and had to resize to 1152x684, dock and icons occupie whole TV (at the bottom). Anyway it could set automatically icon size to a specified value when using monitor 2 ?

Works here. Can you give me a specific and detailed example? Also, does CTRL+F11 (the hotkey used to open Nexus Preferences) work when the edge bump isn't?

Yes. Nexus Ultimate allows you to have as many docks as you want (each with its own characteristics), sub-docks, and the Shelf (tabbed dock).

First, it's not a 'patch' (Winstep doesn't do 'patches' ), so the entire application needs to be updated, second, it fixes a handful more bugs than that, and third, that's the update that is also downloaded by the Update Manager of versions of Nexus older than v10.9.

Nope, sorry.

Hotkey for Preferences wasn't working.
I was using a program to apply transparency and that was blocking Nexus when windows were maximized. Problem solved.

I have Nexus 10.9, i clicked "Check for Updates" but it never downloaded this update probably because it isn't older than 10.9. I didn't see any post regarding this. Sorry for all the questions. Update solved it.

Nexus help file is missing 1 or 2 of the preferences options, not a big deal, just though you should know.
