I had an idea last night... so I tried something quick and dirty (proof of concept) for a new nexus theme. Docks only. For now.


What do you guys think? Is it worth anything?

Sure, I asked for it, but I was looking for... let's say, some constructive criticism. Like, *why* you don't like it, what you think is wrong with it, or maybe how it would look better?
As the name implies, I wanted to create the illusion of the icons actually being inside a nebula. This is a quick trial, just to get a visual idea of how it could be. So, you don't like my implementation? Don't like the whole idea of a "nebulous" dock? Don't like the colours? The fact that its visibility is reduced? The shape? What?
And don't worry, I won't be offended. It was just an idea, I'm not sure myself. And the request for constructive input goes for everyone, not just Jorge.

Well, you're asking the wrong person about *why* I don't like it (just ask Johanne, who built the Winstep web site). I can look at something and say 'I love it' or 'nope, sorry', but if you ask me why... you get a blank stare. I can't explain why, must be some genetic deficiency - I either like it or I don't. In this case, it just looks... dirty?

Yeah, I can see what you guys mean.
Actually, even as it is, it's great fun colourising the dock, since you can get a much less dirty and more uniform look. Not to mention, you get it exactly the colour you want, and because it's a nebula, it doesn't look wrong, like most docks when you colourise them.
Anyway... you'll see more when it's done.

Nora, the clock isn't part of the 'nebula' theme. It's part of my Hyperdesk Star Trek theme, which I'm using throughout.
