I use Nexus dock instead Windows taskbar. It's really cool, but the only thing missing - keyboard layout indicator. Do you happen to plan to create a module with same function?

Also, it would be nice to combine "Show Desktop" and "Restore All Windows" commands in one. like it was in original Windows button.

I use three monitors and would like separate taskbars for each monitor that show only the tasks/programs running on each particular monitor - not just a mirror of the main taskbar.

Hi i'm a new user of Nexus Ultimate and this might be just me getting lost in the hundreds of options so please excuse me if this is already possible, but it would be nice to have subdocks automaticly close when the mouse is no longer over it.

As far as i can tell you can autohide a normal dock, get subdocks to appear on click or mouseover, get them to dissapear on application launch or by clicking somehwere on the desktop or on the subdock placeholder, you can adjust how fast or slow this all happens......but not simply have the subdock close when the mouse is not over it anymore...

Other than that i'm already in love with nexus =)

My dream would be that the Nexus Dock would improve even more additional features, but above all that in the future would integrate still more with Windows as the Dock in Mac OS :D

For Nexus: The only thing I can think of right now that I would like to see is the ability to have the dock stay popped out when you are on the desktop, and autohide when you have a window open. I used it to clear up my desktop, but I also use it sometimes for other things when I have a window open.

Have the folders contents previews directly on the dock, as in explorer and on mac dock

I would like to be able to add a "Dynamic Spacer" (flexible seperator - spacer) between the running applications and the system tray icons, so that the Nexus Dock stretches the entire screen and replicates the Windows taskbar. Also close the gap between the windows and dock when the "prevent maximized windows from overlapping the dock" setting is checked. In short I'm looking to emmulate the Window 7 task bar on XP. I'm sure a lot of users want to be able to have this. Also, I want to add "Winstep is the best thing around hands down for desktop customize."

Hi, switched from true launch bar. But I miss two of it's features:

i'd like a external IP widget to put in quicklaunch or a dock.

I'd like to be able to have subdocks like menus in Shelves (menus with text and icons).

Thanks

If you're running Winstep Xtreme you can create your own menus on NextSTART and then activate them via hotspot items in the Shelf.

I do, and remember seeing similar post, but i can't achieve to do it. If there is a post where i can begin with. I'm new to Winstep.

Remember, i want a subdock behavior, not a menu popup, unless it can hve both icon and text as in TLB

Well, in that case you better explain *exactly* what you want, please. Do you want a menu *or* a sub-dock? They're completely different beasts.

You didn't make me angry, just confused, sorry if it came out like that. :D

Going to give you an example on how to make the main NextSTART menu appear by clicking an item on the Shelf (provided NextSTART is running, of course), hopefully that will point you in the right direction:

1. In the Main tab of the Shelf, right click where you want to insert the item, then select 'Insert New Shelf Item' from the context menu that pops up, then 'NextSTART hotspot'. Select hotspot 0, which should say '0 - NextSTART'.

Now, when you click on the item you just created, the main NextSTART menu will pop up. This is how you can activate NextSTART menus in the Shelf or in a dock.

If you want to make your own menu pop-up, then you must use the built-in Menu Editor in NextSTART to build your menu. Once you've built your menu, you must then associate it to an hotspot. Then you use the method described above to activate that hotspot, and show your pre-defined menu in the Shelf.

Whether the menu displays icons or not depends on the current NextSTART theme. However, when you are associating an hotspot to your pre-defined menu, the Hotspot wizard allows you to 'hard code' a specific menu theme ('Do you want to attach a specific theme to this menu?') to the menu displayed by that hotspot. Just select a theme where the menus display icons.

no offense taken, Jorge.

The real problem came from me : i *only* kept Darktech theme (my only favorite one) and it is one of (if not) the only to not use icons in menus

So all my settings were failing showing icons, of course. I could have saves hours of tries and many posts if i had another one selected.

Is there somewhere a variant of darktech theme with icons in menu??????

I almost achieve it, just a little problem : when launching menu from shelf, the latter closes before menu item is selected, and i find that ugly. Any settings to avoid that?

PS : would you mind implementing an external IP module as in TLB? Only thing i miss now.
