jorge does the dialog box for excessive memory use have to popup or can there just be other indications? cause i have noticed the last couple of days the following.

reboot once back in windows nexus and the shelf will load fine. nextstart will not. i rightclick nexus and exit xtreme and it closes out, but i end up going in to task manager and ending the processes to be able to launch xtreme again. then the entire suite works fine.

reboot nexus, workshelf, and nextstart all start, but it several minutes before i can use the shelf and nexus without them locking up temporarily. nextstart will not have a problem. i've included my latest settings below.

current memory usage:
nextstart 6,532k
workshelf 22,492k(now workshelf will climb to 90,000+ k)

Chucky, I've split the post because it has nothing to do with the high memory usage problem and I don't want users to get confused.

I have to go out right now but I'll get back to this when I come back. Are you using animated icons anywhere on your docks or the Shelf?

ok like i said i was sure if it had anything to do with it or not. i had a feeling it didn't. in answer to the icons yes i'm using 6 animated ones on nexus, but i've been using the same ones for months.
