Hi all, amazing software and loving it.
I just got it and have it all set up but when I go to my other Dexpot desktops nothing is there. So I have been searching the forums for any help to make Winstep run on all desktop or at the very least transfer it to the next desktop I wish to use. Any help is appreciated, thanks...

Hi!

I've heard about Dexpot but I am not familiar with it. Maybe another Winstep user here in the forums is using it and could help you with it?

Does Dexpot have any function to make a particular window appear in all the Desktops?

I don't use dexpot, but I've used Yod'm 3D which had the option to transport windows from a desktop to another or to make a new clean desktop. I'm sure that even Dexpot has this ability, check a little the settings.

Hi,
I have been using Dexpot for some months now on Vista x64. There is more than one way to accomplish what you want. If you right-click on the system tray icon and choose Desktop Rules, you can define a rule for Nexus Dock with an action of Copy to All Desktops. You can also assign hot-keys to copy/move windows to other/all desktops. As for myself, I have Nexus Dock set to come on top of other windows when the mouse cursor bumps the top of the screen. When I switch to another desktop, I can just bump the screen edge to bring Nexus Dock into view.

Unfortunately, help is a little sparse for Dexpot. I found a very minimalist tutorial here:

If you have specific questions, you can post them in their forum in the support area. Replies are usually fairly prompt, so, you shouldn't have to wait long for an answer.

I found that if you switch to the screen you want in DEXPOT, and then activate WINSTEP (NEXUS) preferences and hit apply with no other changes, the bar pops up and stays on even when switching desktops. This works on every Dexpot screen

Here's the way to do it, I tried this myself just now so I know it works.

In your Dexpot program folder there's a file called wechsel.ini Open it up and look for where it says [Exe], under that part put this line: Nexus.exe=sticky save and it should work.

Here's the way to do it on Nexus Ultimate 12.02: In your Dexpot program folder, there's a file called "wechsel.ini" (or "my wechsel.ini") (no quotes). Add these two lines under the part that says [EXE]:
Nexus-Ultimate.exe=sticky
WinstepXtreme.exe=sticky

Your file should look something like the one in the picture.

Hey,

It's not hard to have your Nexus Dock on all Desktops, using Dexpot.

Right Click on the Tray Icon of Dexpot and choose the Option "Assign Applications"

There you can decide on which Desktop running Applications should be, furthermore you can add other apps to the list and set on which one they should be.
