Alert notifications not activating

Hi - I'm really enjoying the Nexus dock, however I've noticed one thing that has been problematic.

I have the dock set to auto-hide, however whenever an alert goes off (IM received for example), I do not know because the dock is NOT unhiding. I've seen some posts from people complaining of the opposite (intrusive dock) but my problem is that the bouncing icon isn't seen until I mouse over the dock to unhide it.

Shouldn't the attention alerts activate regardless of the dock auto hiding?

I'm thinking there may be a setting I'm missing but I cannot find it.

What version of Nexus are you running (check the top right corner of the About tab of Nexus Preferences)? Latest is v12.2.

However I rebooted my PC for an unrelated matter and it seems to be working now, so disregard. Thanks for the quick response though. Love the software and will likely be going ultimate!
