i've had an odd behavior with a folder on nexus that started just before i reran windows. i decided when i reran windows the username would be chuckyschild instead of krazdkiller. before rerunning windows i renamed my documents folder on p from krazdkiller's docs to chucky's docs. after doing that i went into the dock entry properties for the folder and pointed it to chucky's docs, and i also changed the lable to chucky's docs and clicked ok. now when i moused over the icon i noticed it still said krazdkiller's docs. if i click on the icon it opens the correct folder, but it defaults back to saying p:\krazdkiller's docs\ in the folder feild. now if i change the label feild to chucky's docs and click ok, then mouse over the icon it says chucky's docs. now if i go back into the dock entry properties again and click find item and reselect chucky's docs not only doesn't the folder feild change to say p:\chucky's docs\, but the label feild defaults back to saying krazdkiller's docs. i cannot duplicate this odd behavior by creating other folders on the doc. it is just the documents folder on p for some reason that does this. it's not hurting anything cause it is opening the folder it should, just thought it was odd.

Strange things happen when you change user names. :D

For instance, my user name in Windows is 'JcRabbit', but the name of the folder in C:\Users\ remains the default 'User'.

jorge are you planning to investigate and see if you can duplicate the issue, or just be cute about it? cause it only happens with nexus, and nothing else on the system. like i said it's not hurting anything, but it is odd.

I'm just going to be cute about it. :P

It works, doesn't it? There is nothing to investigate, I already told you Windows does 'strange' things when you change user names, etc... Sometimes it gets the name from the folder itself, other times from a language dependent description on a hidden INI file inside the folder itself.

This is the solution Microsoft came up for stuff like changing user names and localized versions of Windows.

if this was happening with other applications i would chalk it up to a windows bug, but since the only effected application is nextstart it has to be nextstart. as for a hidden ini file no, one of the first things i do when i install windows is goto tools, folder settings, view and set windows to show me all files. this is not a matter of where windows draws the folder name from, but rather a matter of where nexus draws the folder name from. however for me like you said it is working, so i can live with it. whenever i reinstall windows and then install xtreme nexus "should" correct itself.
