This may not be a bug, but its a minor irritation. With Nextstep I have a 'permanent' collapsible main menu on the screen. It remains on screen as required unless I right-click and 'open' a folder, when it disappears. If I choose to 'explore' a folder the menu doesn't close. But sometimes I forget. This happens in 3.x and Xtreme B4.
Nice work on Xtreme BTW - though I haven't explored it in detail and still ditch Workshelf after a few minutes.

What are the attributes of the associated hotspot? Is it set to 'Parent Menus Stay Open'? If so, try giving it an individual group name so other hotspots do not interfere with it. Also, how is the hotspot set to activate? What does it say in the 'Apply Hotspot To' text box?



That really is a shame, since Xtreme is intended to be used as an integrated desktop environment composed by a suite of applications, and using WorkShelf together with NextSTART really brings it to a league of its own.

Still, if you are into docks but not into shelves, you might like to know that a private alpha version of NeXus (the dock component) has just been released to registered Winstep users.

Its the only hotspot, activated by left-clicking the desktop, set to autorun and with 'Parent menus stay open' enabled. As I said, its an irritation not a major issue.
You'll be pleased to know Workshelf is lasting a little longer on the screen each time I start-up and fiddle about with it. But I still think NextStart is more elegant.
And after all this time I know I've only dreamed the recent NeXus posts...
