Hi all,

I have a problem in that I have added to the dock an item that points to Firefox at C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe

The problem is that the indicator is not shown when Firefox is running.

There are 26 icons in the dock I have set up and, although I've set them all up in the same manner (New Item then entering the path to the exe file), only two exhibit this problem of missing indicators whereas the application is running:
* calc.exe
* firefox

Has anyone ever encountered this problem and solved it?
Many thanks.

PS:
* I was previously using RocketDock and the problem occurred for calc.exe too but not not Firefox.
* Tor Browser, which is based on Firefox, does not have this problem, no matter the dock.

I don't know what happened or whether my fiddling around changed things in the right direction but to this date, indicators are being displayed just fine on Firefox and calc.exe

However, internal command Control Panel remains without an indicator even when the window is opened via the dock entry.

You have to understand how things work. The "indicator" is just the programme looking for the executable it's pointing to, running. So, it shouldn't matter where it was executed from. On the other hand, the Control Panel isn't a separate programme, it's just Windows Explorer running. The Control Panel is just a 'special' kind of 'folder' (which doesn't exist in the regular structure of your hard drive), so there's nothing to detect. As far as Winstep or Nexus are concerned, it's just Explorer showing *something*.
All in all, you're ok now.
Cheers!
