Hello, guys! I've installed Winstep Xtreme and very happy with it. It has many cool settings. However one of the most important things I want is no taskbar/tray etc. but 'start button' left. But there is no setting to hide panel and leave 'start button'. Can anyone make additional setting that and meanwhile tell me how to create this button as a shortcut on the desktop (with win7 standart look)?

I suppose you could make a hotspot and assign it to the start menu. Then move it to wherever you want on the desktop and lock it there.

I can use yet another utility (bit this 'start button' orb disappears from time to time then reappearing again)
http://rocketdock.com/addon/docklets/35659

But I do not want any conflicts between this program and Winstep. Also as I've said it disappears like when panel has 'auto hide on' checkbox

I'm a little confused by your screenshot. You said you have Winstep Xtreme but I don't see any evidence of that. You still have icons and folders on your desktop instead of on a dock or shelf and there are no modules.

Judging from your screenshot it appears you haven't taken advantage of Xtreme. Is this because you don't know how to do that?

windy as far as i'm concerned this thread is closed. rightclick on the image in his first post then select view image. i just noticed the nemocrack icon on his desktop. so his version of winstep is cracked. my suggestion to skagon and jorge ban him and remove all of his post.

Chucky, I am not going to become judge, jury and executioner for anyone. Even criminals have the right to answer to their accusors.
I believe that our friend here has the right to a reply and, in the end, we only have an indication, in the form of an icon on the desktop. That's not proof nor evidence. It's just an indication.
Our goal here is to help everyone get the most out of Winstep and, hopefully, show them that it's so versatile and useful that they'll go and purchase a legitimate licence (which is cheap anyway). We're not here to hunt people down.

no we're here to help those using legitimate version including betas. you suggest that even though that's a cracked version we are still here to help him, NOT.

You don't know that it's a cracked version and neither do I.
If Jorge has any evidence that it is, he can block or ban him at his discretion.
"We" are not here to judge. You noticed that icon, you pointed it out, and well done for that. It's up to you whether you want to help him or not, but whether he gets to be banned or not, with all due respect, that's not your call.

now you're assuming i don't know what i'm talking about when in actuality i do. when you install the nemocrack version it is setup to put the nemocrack shortcut to their website on your desktop. the reason i know is that their version has problems and i've had to remove it from a couple of comps i repaired.

No, I'm sure you do. What I'm saying is, you have no *proof* that that is the case. Maybe he downloaded some different programme from there, which created the shortcut, or maybe he just likes their website!
Yes, you may think that it's unlikely, but... they let killers out of prison due to some technicality or minor doubt. I'm not going to start banning people just because they have a wrong icon on their desktop.
