NxDock preventing Windows to close

Dear all,

About every tenth termination of Windows I get the message that still one pgm could not be closed:

1 program still needs to close:

(Waiting for) NxDock
This program is preventing Windows from shutting down
--------------------------------------------------------
To close the program that is preventing Windows from
shutting down, click Cancel, and then close the program.

Force shut down                      Cancel

I genrally use the Force button. Have not noticed any negative effects at the next start.
How could I prevent this extra step in closing down? This behaviour does not allow me to just leave the system after initiating Shut down.

Win 7 x64 SP1; 2.8 GHz, 4GB RAM, 500GB HD.

Most likely this is not Nexus itself hanging but some system specific 3rd party extension hanging during Nexus exit 'clean up' time, causing Nexus to hang by extension. Worse, since it only happens sometimes, it's nearly impossible to debug.

Try adding a 'Shutdown Windows' internal command to the dock and initiating the system shutdown from there instead, to see if it makes a difference. This makes Nexus exit immediately after telling Windows to shut down, so perhaps this will solve your problem.
