A problem has been identified in v15.9 where (and only on some systems) opening a folder either results in a 'Class not Found' error or nothing happening. This issue is specific to 64 bit systems.

The issue is an unintended consequence of the new ability in v15.9 to launch 64 bit versions of applications where both a 32 and a 64 bit version exist. Previous to v15.9, the 32 bit application would always be launched even if the user specified the 64 bit version in the path.

The folder opening issue has been fixed in a silent update, so, if your system has this problem, please leave a message on this thread to get instructions on how to download and install the update.

Other known problems fixed in the silent update:

1. Under Nexus and Nexus Ultimate, Winstep .xtreme theme files are incorrectly associated to the old 'WinstepXtreme.exe' helper application.

This can be fixed by opening Preferences -> Advanced -> Troubleshoot -> Restore File Associations.

2. On some systems WorkShelf, Nexus Ultimate and Nexus would crash on exit instead of exiting gracefully when told by the Winstep Update Manager to close.

3. NextSTART's edge bump hotspots will not activate until the user clicks on the Start button in the NextSTART taskbar.

4. New 'Disable reflections when dock is vertical' setting becomes enabled again after restarting the application.

5. This is not a bug, just further proof that you can't please both Greeks and Trojans, and/or how some people end up relying in wrong/buggy behavior: ;-)

v15.9 is finally fully high-DPI aware, which means docks, desktop modules, etc, will retain the correct size when the system DPI (text size) is higher than 100%, instead of being automatically 'magnified' by the OS via DPI virtualization (with the side effect of everything becoming extremely blurry too).

Being high-DPI aware also fixes the problem people on high DPI had with clicking the tabs in Preferences, docks not going to secondary monitors on multi-monitor systems, etc...

However, the fix also created a problem for people with poor eye-sight or very high-resolution monitors: while for docks, menus and the Shelf you can make up for the lack of magnification by increasing icon and text sizes (which fixes the problem without making things blurry as DPI virtualization does), desktop modules in Winstep Xtreme are fixed size.

Actually the application already had an option to scale desktop modules, but down, not up. The new update automatically scales modules up on high DPI systems (also providing an option not to do this) and increases the desktop module scaling range from 10% to 200% (normal size being 100%).

I'm hit by problem #4 (reflections in vertical docks disabled after restart) and would enjoy to solve this.

6. This has been there since the very beginning and, unfortunately, nobody bothered telling me about it:

The Winstep Update Manager incorrectly listed 'Spanish' instead of 'Español' as the localized name for the Spanish language file, which caused it to always display the text in English for Spanish users (even though a translation was available) and also made it impossible to automatically update Spanish language files (as was recently done for French users).

7. The attention effect is not activating for items pined to the dock when 'combine dock icons with running applications' is enabled.

8. The attention effect doesn't affect the correct task icon when 'combine dock icons with running applications' is enabled.

I am with Windows 10 64-bit, and I have two problems:
1. After a few minutes of use when I want to open an explorer window, it does not open or opens with a bizarre display, or freeze.
2. Some notifications icons disappear.

To solve these two problems, I have to restart Windows :(

I also use Winstep with another PC running Windows 7 64 bit without problems
