Just a general question:

I see the option to "Hide the NextStart Taskbar and detach the Tasklist and System Tray"...

but why is there no option to also detach the 'Quick Launch' area ?

(as it`s a part of the taskbar, I found this an unusual omission)

It all goes back to a few years ago... but, basically, because the Quick Launch items are actually NextSTART hotspots and they're drawn directly into the taskbar surface (unlike the tasklist and system tray sections, which are actually overlapping windows).

The whole taskbar container is thus the Quick Launch section, you can say.

Anyway, you can, if you want, edit the Quick Launch hotspots and turn them onto 'hotspot buttons on your desktop'.
