Always wanted to do a dungeons and dragons thingee...

The thing about security is that it is a state of mind. If someone wants to do anything badly enough, they will work out how to do it. This is development. This is purely a rough drawing board to throw ideas for myself to get an idea of the look and feel..
I figure everyone has their own idiosyncracies... that's one of mine.
This one will take a while and thtime on this I do not have a lot of so it will wait until I get a break like now..
I have done a rough wallpaper in bryce 3D with a wireframe from Poser.
So placement and size will be everything - much smaller than the image here.... Not so easy...

That's me fabsolutely sheesh - this programs is WAYYYY too addictive for someone like me.
I am DEFINITELY taking a break. I must have churned this out from the scratchboard in about 3hrs.. 3hrs that I need to allocate on other things even though the alignment is crap.. like music I start and I am compelled to finish until it is at a point where i can continue anytime. All the graphics are 3D rendered in Bryce of the Dragons. Nothing other than the clock I did not create or recreate.
I will be back when I have done what I must do. Ciao

Yes.

Chrome is blocking Winstep theme .zip files and classifying them as unsafe.

Probably for some very, very, stupid reason, such as thinking that the extension of one of the configuration files inside the zip file is some kind of unsafe script without actually looking at what is inside.

I already sent them a message about this, but, of course, neither got a reply nor anything got done about it.

Wow, I know the reason for this one. It's actually not Chrome at all, though it will not allow you to download them.
It's Google/Gmail/G+ - Built-in now sadly. Apparently some dodgy person sent a really bad trojan through Gmail in a zip file so Google stopped it in all things Google. If you have one in your Google drive next time they scan it will be deleted.

You can still download them in chrome, just not the Google version.
A faster chrome without all the add-ons and ones you can select not be stuck with is "Citrio". WAY faster than Chrome. Same engine less B.S.

I think it's a question of taste. Personally I use Firefox, which now has a 64 bit version.

I don't like what Chrome is doing (or rather, how it's doing it), but I understand it's only trying to protect its users.

Another reason I don't use Chrome is because it no longer supports Microsoft's Silverlight, and the Winstep web site analytics tool requires that plug-in.

I find it interesting how corporate pressure works - For example, my Telecommunications provider is a microsoft partner and Google affiliate whatever that means. I just upgraded my line to VDSL so I decided to try the McAfee bundle that gave a free 1 year etc etc and to test it on the winstep theme folder I copied to a separate location. It then proceeded to delete the *.wst files from each directory it scanned in my custom scan. So I uninstalled McAfee. I do not like it anyway.

I did however find the line in the *.wst files it hates that generates the faklse positives. Thank you Google and MS and your dog and your cat and your budgie and goldfish

LOL. That is actually my name encrypted in there, you must have taken that line from one of my themes.

I added that fake 'Run' argument many years ago (15+ years) as a way for me to know the Winstep user name (i.e.; the name under which the software had been registered to) of the person that made that theme or sent me a backup file of their settings.

Guess it was a way to track down people using illegal copies of the software? Not sure, been too long.

Anyway, it doesn't 'run' anything, the argument could have been called whatever. No idea anymore why I actually chose to call it 'Run' back then though.

keep in mind that "Run" is what they see and instead of parentheses, the scan sees it as greater than and less than. I didn't make the virus programs or the scanners... thank heavens.

Because I do not have as much time to spend on designing as I did a week ago I am limited to evenings and weekends now...
So I decided to be moderately productive and build my own library up again... textures, FX, shapes etc etc..
While many of these will be unusuable for 90% of what I will likely end up doing... it's good for me to keep a record of the saved ideas, because something as simple as a shape, a colour, a texture or a simple FX can spawn creativity when it's most needed. My opinion only, but it seems to work with me anyway.
