when I right-click a dock and select Duplicate Dock, it creates an empty dock rather than a full duplicate. Is that the expected behavior? I thought it would create a duplicate dock complete with all the items in it. Just curious.

It should duplicate the dock and all its contents, as you would expect...

I just tried it here and it seems to be working as it should. What happens if you double click the control tile of the cloned dock? Maybe it is set to auto-hide and to start hidden, in which case, when the dock is duplicated, it pops up on the screen already collapsed.

Okay, I've got it working. I fumbled through a bunch of options (auto-hide, collapse, etc...) on the original dock. I think because I originally had the 1st dock to auto-collapse. But I never noticed the auto-collapse because the dock was also set to auto-hide on the screen edge because it automatically expanded when I bumped the screen edge.

Therefore the cloned, floating dock was also set to auto-collapse.
