My Nexus Taskbar is set to auto-hide, but I can't access it with Chrome open. Is there any way of allowing Nexus to appear on top of Chrome?

You can not only keep it hidden, but also keep it on top of other windows. Check to see if this setting helps:

Turn on the checkbox at #3.

He might be running the free version of Nexus rather than Winstep Xtreme, Ric, and by 'Nexus taskbar' he might actually mean the dock displaying running applications.

Is that it, George?

If so, the issue might be that the dock is BY DESIGN set not to activate when a full screen application (such as a game) is running, to prevent accidental activations. Full screen, by the way, is not the same as Maximized.

Chrome has always thought itself to be "special" and so it likes to do things different from other apps/browsers, so it might be running as full screen instead of maximized, which would explain why the dock does not activate with it covering the whole screen.

There is a solution for this though: assuming you are running the free version of the Nexus dock, open Nexus Preferences. If not, open the Dock Properties dialog for that dock.

Once there go to the Behavior tab and click the Activation Settings button. On the Activation Settings dialog click on the 'Full Screen Exclusion List' button, then click Add. If Chrome is running select it from the panel at the left, otherwise type in "Chrome.exe" in the Application name text box.

Close all dialogs by pressing OK and if all went well the dock will now respond when Chrome is running.
