No, I'm afraid that is not possible, nor would it make any sense in practise.

Hmm. The "nor would it make any sense" is an interesting opinion.

At work, I have two monitors that, side-by-side, make up a total resolution of 3840 x 1080. My boss has the same setup at work. But at home, he has a single widescreen of the same double-width resolution.

Your comment, "nor would it make any sense" implies that my boss should just stick to having a dock in either the left 1920 or the right 1920, but not in the middle of his single, widescreen monitor.

If netsense wants a dock spread across two monitors, how are any of us important enough in his life to impose a limitation like that?

Curiously, as I understand it, when a programmer asks Windows about screen information, the entire resolution is returned and then there's additional information about regions of the screen (for monitors). So, it would seem a simple checkbox for "ignore distinct monitors" or some such would take care of the request.

Of course, that would require Jorge returning and getting to work on adding such a function.

Hmm.... In the first place, I don't think this could be done. Apart from that, as for the 'no sense' - consider this. For one thing, all apps started from such a doc would open on the left (or first) monitor, when you might want an app to open on the right hand one. Also, you could end up with one hell of a long dock - even if using 128px icons - and may have to move over from one monitor to the other to get at the app you want. As I said, makes absolutely no sense, to me anyway. Far better to have separate docks on each monitor, surely.
