Hi
I've been using NextStart for years (I'm on v4.3) and all of a sudden, maximised windows have started taking up the whole screen and covering the startbar.
'Reserve Screen Area' is still ticked in the startbar tab.

It has worked correctly until a few days ago - any idea what could have changed to cause this?
Thanks

Steve

Have you rebooted in the mean time? Explorer could have crashed...

In the Global Preferences tab of NextSTART, do you have any values set in the Reserved Screen Area section? Are you sure the Startbar is docked (it only reserves screen space when docked)? What happens if you undock and then dock it again? If you are running a multi-monitor system, is the Startbar on your primary monitor?

Reserved Screen Space all set to 0

Excuse the ignorance - how do I know if it's docked? This is the BEXTStep theme so it isn't obvious.

Yes to multi-monitor, and it's on the primary one.

As I say, it used to work so I've obviously done something silly!

Thanks
Steve

NeXT STEP theme? That one doesn't have a Startbar, only task tiles, and only the Startbar reserves screen space.

You will have to manually reserve screen space on the Global Preferences section. :D
