I have duplicate buttons on my start bar and I can not get rid of them. I delete them but the next time I reboot they come back. Not all buttons are duplicated only Outlook, iTunes and a couple of others.

I also recently installed a newer version of my email client and now when I launch it I have two bars showing up like the program is running twice but it is only loaded once.

Any help would sure be appreciated.

My apologies for the incredibly late reply, with the recent surge in forum spam posts (you probably haven't noticed them because I've been deleting the messages almost as soon as they are posted) some of the topics seem to have fallen through the cracks.



That's because the Quick Launch buttons in NextSTART are being synchronized with the real Windows Quick Launch toolbar. Open the Startbar tab in NextSTART Preferences and disable the 'Retrieve from Windows' option in the Quick Launch section.

Note, however, that after that any new icons added to the Windows Quick Launch section will NOT be automatically picked up by NextSTART.



What email client are you running?

I'm using The Bat.

Seems like this happens when the program in question is using more than one MDI window (for instance, it also happens when you open two workbooks in Excel). It's not serious since both tasklist entries work, but I'll see if I can fix it in some later release.
