It must surely be feasible to do something that says "MENUS" - 'Scale' (proportionally) with percentages?

Menus in Winstep Xtreme can be scaled up too by changing the 'Menu Scaling' setting in the Menus tab of NextSTART Preferences and pressing Ok (Apply will only affect NextSTART, you need to click Ok for changes to become effective in WorkShelf context menus too).

There is also a global Menu Scaling option in the Appearance tab of the Dock Properties dialog of docks, shelves, etc.

Pretty much everything has scaling settings, desktop modules, shelves, drawers, grid stacks, etc... Dock's don't because all you need to do is increase the icon size.

This said, this are USER settings by DESIGN, themes have no business meddling with scale.

Why would you even do this?!

Themes are supposed to work the same regardless of screen resolution. With higher screen resolutions screen objects become proportionally smaller but that is to be expected.

Whether this means things like menus become difficult to read or not it is up to the user's eyesight and comfort level He has several mechanisms at his disposal if he is using a high screen resolution, he can increase the Windows DPI/scaling so EVERYTHING becomes bigger (Winstep applications are high DPI compatible and now even per monitor high-DPI compatible) or he can manually adjust the scaling of objects such as menus, etc, in the Winstep application...

In no way should the skinner/theme author have anything to do with something that is strictly a personal preference, so I am not even sure why you would want to control this.

It is not so much about control as it is about giving the person downloading it the correct information.

"If you wish it to look like the image represented, in the following resolutions scale to..."

Most times, a person downloads it because they like the way it looks I have found. It is a simple instruction in differing resolutions how to get the same look & feel. ;)

It was never about control, sorry if it came across that way :D
