OK - I got a few mins so had a quick play with configuration options.

Couldn't find a specific option that caused this.

However did notice some behaviours:

1) If Workshelf is set to auto-hide then the problem behaviour is observed. If not set to auto-hide then works as should.
2) If have Dock enabled and set to auto-hide, but not docked, then double-click issue is not observed. Even if Workshelf is enabled, docked, and auto-hide set.
3) If have Dock enabled and docked, with no auto-hide, then double-click issue is not observed.
4) If Dock enabled, docked and auto-hide is set then double-click issue is observed.
5) If Workshelf is enabled, not docked and auto-hide set then double-click issue is observed.

So Workshelf and Dock behaviours are slightly different. Workshelf only works when auto-hide not enabled, whereas Dock is fine unless docked and auto-hide enabled.

I have not tried a different theme - is this likely to impact on the operation?

I shouldn't think that themes would have any impact, given that essentially all a theme does is supply and assign images.

As for your background issue after restore, could be that you selected the plain colour BG in Windows, in which case when you restored your Winstep backup the theme loaded its default Wallpaper?

That was my initial thought, except for the fact that things work fine with the Dock and auto-hide, as long as the Dock is not docked to a screen edge.

Another thing I have noticed is that if I have Workshelf Preferences open on my primary monitor then the double-click issue does not occur, even when Workshelf is set to auto-hide (and is collapsed). No Dock enabled at this time.

However if I move the Preferences window to my secondary monitor then the double-click issue does occur. Moving the preferences window back to the primary monitor removes the double-click issue again.

Note - I only have a Workshelf enabled and docked on my primary monitor.

However I have tested this with a Workshelf enabled and docked on my secondary monitor in addition to my normal one on the primary monitor - behaviour is the same.
