My last post here for some time to come and an apology. The apology goes to anyone who may have been offended or felt they were personally attacked by simply stating what I know to be my own truths.
I found after stepping back and being honest with myself, it is frustration based which is my problem not anyone else’s. I found the core of my issues became evident finishing this very last work “Steampunky” that I have spent a very large amount of time finishing. It will never truly be finished I suppose and I will also never be 100% happy, but that is good thing too because it leaves room for my own improvement.
I found I was subconsciously becoming pissed off that the amount of detail I was creating was being lost skinning because I have often needed to shrink the created size sometimes as much as 85% and the quality went with it. Add to this, being completely misinterpreted more times than I can count because I could not seem to word my intentions succinctly enough, as most were workflow issues I found as I was creating, which is additionally difficult to relay…. so I subsequently became lost in translation. Add to this occasionally, some people assumed things about my work, or practices, or choices across the board and honestly, assuming is silly when it is so much easier to simply ask the person.
So I apologise for anyone who felt I was taking my frustrations out on them because that is unfair to them if you felt this. For the record, I love minimalistic work as one example, something is good or it is not, for me it is that simple. It does not matter to me whether it is simple or complicated. I also love well designed complicated work too. So please avoid misinterpreting me so easily.
THE THEME important info - I enclosed a couple to show why I have to do something else because if I keep doing with the way I am going, I am only going to get pissed off more with resizing what I truthfully should not need to but the application has to be done that way, so I need to find another avenue to explore this and at this point I have no idea what. The detail, well if you look at the gauge and the camera which did not make the final cut, you might have some idea of why I need to find something else to do and why I get frustrated by looking at the gauges in the final Winstep “Steampunky” theme. If you look closely, the gauge arm I originally designed is not the final arm because it cannot be seen except as a pixellated mess. I left it on the main image if you also look closely. That should explain a little. I will not be uploading this. It is definitely NOT functional, I realised I had created it for the artistic aspects and in the process became increasingly annoyed with quality loss shrinking them. If you look very closely you might perhaps see detail within detail in the clock and others... Lost in translation as well unfortunately. This is aesthetic not so much aimed at functional ... So the University educated functional side of me is forever in conflict with the performance and practical application side of me when it comes to doing these themes. I am sick of having to sacrifice quality for functionality in my own designs for these themes, it is that uncomplicated, and that is my problem, not anyone else's.

ANYWAY – reiterating, my apologies if I offended anyone with my truths and they are my truths and I do know for me they are just that. I will always apologise for the way I said something if I came across as being a 'dick', but I will never apologise for my beliefs and I believe that none of us ever should.

Take care all.
P.S. - On a final side-note, the camera effort was not completely wasted. Those of you who downloaded the "Copper" theme will see the textures of the camera in that. Cheers.
