I would like a dock full width as a shelf can.
I cannot find the option for it.
Please could you make that happening?

And seccond:
the icon space on a dock is max 16 px.
Could you make it bigger?

As a result i would like having a dock full full height (or width) and the icons lined out equally. If I have enough icons the dock is full height and icons are fitting.
BUt if I have less incons the docking bar is smaller But i would like it fullheight.
Thanks!

Are you planning to continue posting new topics without addressing the questions I asked you in the previous threads you also posted?

My english is not very good and it took some time.
I installed a new computer and many issues did come up and did i have to manage.
Thanks for your quick and extensive help!
I posted this topic quick, beacause you said you would implement my first post in the next update. I thought maybe this is a small issue you could also implement.
Thanks Again!
Ivar

Dock Properties -> Position tab -> Enable "Span the full screen width when docked"

No. You are already trying to turn a dock into something that it isn't.

As the setting itself says, the dock has to be docked to a screen edge. It doesn't work on floating docks.

If the dock IS docked and that setting IS enabled and it still isn't working (it works here, just tried it) then please post a screenshot of your desktop with the dock docked and that setting enabled.

No it did not.

You can also post a screenshot here: when replying to this message, in the Upload Attachment section click the "Browse" button to the screenshot file but then you also need to click on the "Add the File" button.

What theme are you using for that dock? Are you by any chance using a *dock tile* theme for the dock?!

The new “span the full screen width when docked” option only works with themes that use a single continuous dock background.

Tile-based themes place a separate fixed-size square behind each icon. Those tiles are repeated according to the number of icons in the dock, so there is no single background image that can be stretched to fill the remaining width of the screen.

To use the full-width option, you will therefore need to select a theme with a continuous background bitmap that can be resized horizontally or vertically.

No. You are already trying to turn a dock into something that it isn't.

Why? Or should i use a shelf instead? I could, but then i have the tabs, and i do not want a tab on this dock.

I've now added a warning if that option is selected while using a tiled theme.

A dock is intended to present a compact row of closely related icons. With very large gaps between them, it starts behaving more like a general-purpose toolbar or desktop layout, which is not what it was designed to be. For pretty much the same reason I was already very resistant to adding the "span screen width" setting.

Thanks for the warning!

But why the resistants?
Whats wrong with 'a general-purpose toolbar'?
I would love it. :)

I won't speak for anyone else because simply, I cannot so I'll speak for only myself.
As someone who skins themes, a majority of the time, my images are done in 2k minimum and massively reduced in size whether vector or raster. To explain the relevance, for you to be able to maintain the identical quality in a dock or module to stretch, speaking for myself, I would need to supply the full high resolution images and the application (Winstep) would need to add code to resize the docks and the modules. The size increase in Themes would be a minimum of four times what it is currently.

That is a shitload of work in coding and honestly, every theme maker would almost have to redo their themes in several areas, and while I cannot speak for Jorge, I don't think he would want to fix something that for many does not seem to be broken.
