the screenshots here are two from my personal collection I did several months ago that I never uploaded.

Hanging plants I avoided for a few reasons. I actually used a photo I took about 30yrs ago from when I stayed in the country for a few months and I got A.I to create some jousts and hangers and replace the porch railings. It only took the A,I about 20 attempts. Anyway - while the modules can certainly be moved by anyone, randomly placing them just won't look right so I figured many people may not like being almost forced into having to do it a certain way, so I never uploaded it, even though I find it personally quite serene.

The second I based on Frank Herbert's books because as much as people like the movies, they left a lot out and a lot of the way they created characters, to perhaps just me, did not seem to create them how they appeared to me reading his books decades ago, as well as leaving a lot of the machinery and processes out. for example, the Sand Trout is is Wanda in this and the movies not really telling anyone that it is basically a baby worm, and the movie depictions of Guild Navigators never seemed right to me. I am not saying mine is either (battery), but for me it is closer to what I imagined reading his books..etc...etc..So being personal I thought it may not be something others might want. I also put in my sense of double entendre humour. The icon for the disk under the Heighliner on the upper left, is a WORM drive. Aside from the obvious image of a worm, in I.T it means something completely different.

BUT - This is a theme section and designed to share the work or skinning art we attempt to create, so here they are.

The inactive menu has a face dancer with a Fremen. The face dancer you won't see in the movies.

Here are a some more from my personal collection.

Again, some of my themes like these two, require modules to be placed a certain way which has stopped me from uploading because if they are not, they will not look as intended. That is not fair on the end user so I did not. I did one with trains in the gallery but that is an exception.

I have another 20 more in my personal collection but I'll finish up, I am sure people get the general idea. It's not that I do not want to share, I also believe people who create it is great to share it, but also they should always keep a few things just for themselves. :)

These two I spent a LOT of time on the details. There are also so many steampunk things out there I saw no need to add to them so I did for myself. The amount of intricate detail is time consuming to get it looking close to right. I won't say painful, but sometimes it gets close to that. The first one I re-developed from a half-assed attempt over ten years ago. the second is far more recent, around 6 months? ago.
Cheers

Respected BassdudeNZ! I think these unpublished topics are very interesting! Maybe they should be published in the gallery? I especially liked the theme about the old train! And I also had an idea! Can you create a theme about knights (jousting tournaments, armor, weapons, castles, beautiful ladies)? Sincerely, Peter. :D

Thanks but there is another issue that prevents me from doing this.

While I do not drag submenus all over the screen, some people do and that is fine because it is also one of the extra features Winstep has versus standard Windows menus.
The issue here is that if you look at some of the intricacy in the menus, if you select say Control panel which will vertically fill much of the screen, then move it, that SubMenu then becomes the Main Menu and it stretches and really loses all of its aesthetic appeal completely.

If Jorge coded in something that said that every menu selected after the Main menu will only be the SubMenu, this would fix that. Then if people only created one and no submenu that menu would display on everything but if they made a submenu which I tend to design to scale, this issue would be completely removed. Until then iff something like this ever occurs, as much as I appreciate your kind words, I will keep them in my own collection. It would free up skinners to graphically get really creative with MainMenu's if it does occur. :)

Respected BassdudeNZ! What settings need to be enabled to see FISH FONTAINE in the WATER theme?
