Fixed the lungs in the Anatomy theme.
It was bugging me because every time I looked at t, I went "blurghhh..." because it reminded me of some kind of macabre Mr.Potato head. I figured if I do not like it then I cannot anticipate anyone else to either.

I also changed the overlay to blood and the gauge arm to bone.

Respected BassdudeNZ! I looked through the entire gallery and, to my great regret, I did not find the theme of the Ice Palace. :( :|

I have to upload it in the next update. I do not think Jorge is too far away from it :)

TRIVIA...

Any themes mentioned that are not in the gallery are for a good reason. I did menus that are moderately elaborate or have some design that will not stretch vertically well when submenus are detached. In version 27 the Parent menu I have entered in configuration that it cannot be transferred to the submenu, which is not possible before version 26.9. I do not wish to remove the aesthetic user intent in design by uploading prior to the update.

LAST - finished Anatomy and got the nice FX I was aiming for in workshelf and the menus.
The opening menu is on the far right, the clicked menu is what you see on the left.
Later...

Four others I will upload when version 27 is out because the parent menus need to remain on the parent menu.
Cheers

Thanks for the correction. I am used to dev's putting the decimal place to indicate the version, I should have asked. My mistake.

Because of the Winstep update subscription method (1 year of free updates after purchase, and after that you renew your update subscription if you want more), I’m free from the whole “major vs. minor version” nonsense - where users only pay again for major releases and developers end up saving the big juicy features for those major updates.

With the update subscription model, Winstep applications are in continuous development, and I’m free to add anything as I think of it - big or small - so the YY.MM version scheme makes far more sense for this.

You supposed correctly. It may be a few weeks yet, but yes.

finished. (facepalm) Well as much as I intend to do. Creativity is a beautiful gift for any of us, but it needs a leash too sometimes. This was the most difficult theme I have attempted to date. I can live with it. Satisfied? The problem with creativity is it will always find or suggest that a person can be more creative, or change something, or do something better, or.... you get the drift.
This is the cutoff point. Sometimes living with it is easier than continuing if it is acceptable. The lack of across-the-board color balancing was annoying the crap out of me. That annoyance is gone so I have closed the door on it metaphorically.

Hopefully other people will do some themes.

For anyone starting out because Jorge is getting closer as each month goes by to creating a "Theme Builder", I have one suggestion that is often overlooked in importance for anyone contemplating doing their own...

Anyone can get 3D models, or templates that are royalty free, or libraries of the same nature, or if you have creative skills your own. This is a good thing for allowing your imagination to run wild. Sure, I create most of my own or have my own library after more than ten years, but I occasionally need to edit one that exists rather than reinventing the wheel.

The trick is in choosing the right textures and applying them to whatever design or model for modules and menus and backgrounds. Get that right, and most of the work is won, leaving mainly fine tuning and alignment. Do it enough and it becomes routine.

I hope this is of some use to anyone wanting to create their own. I see some awesome skinners out there and anyone can be good at it. The process only requires the same thing it does to become competent at anything = PRACTICE. :)

Cheers

P.S. - One other practice I use which sometimes removes any creative blocks - I create a 1920x1080 blank image canvas. I then treat it almost like a Visio diagram and draw squares, rectangles, circles (in any art program even default windows) on the canvas to assist me in visualising what I see in my mind's eye.
for anyone wondering if I used Visio in the "Storage" theme on the clock - yes, you would be correct. :)

LAST - I never limit myself to any single source. Inspiration can be found anywhere.

I always admire people who have the talent to create such masterpieces! Your themes are real masterpieces, authentic works of art! Unfortunately, not everyone is endowed with such talent! It's time to open a themed museum! Although, in fact, this gallery is already a museum! (I'm always looking forward to your interesting new topics!)

Thank you kindly and I genuinely encourage you to create one of your own when Jorge makes the Theme Builder available. At the very least I am confident it will be a good experience for you and you will feel proud when you finish your first.
Practice is how I got better. If you saw a few of my first, you would not think as you do now.

We all get better at something the more often we do it. I am happy to share anything I know that anyone thinks is of use. I believe that the next person using it if they keep at it has the potential to be even better and so the skinning gets better and better with each person that passes on their information.
