nextstart crashes when selecting item from control panel

i goto the start menu, settings, control panel, and so far, i've clicked admin tools, and programs and features, both times nextstart crashed.

System specs, please?

Does WorkShelf also crash if you access those items via the Control Panel shelf?

Does it happen with any other Control Panel items?

nope, didn't happen with the workshelf, and it does happen with other control panel items, i haven't clicked them all, but just a few more with the same crash.

it's like the crash when u double click on a folder to open it from the menu system

vista ultimate sp1 x86
4gb ram
quad core q6600 intel
nvidia gforce 7900gs

Are you still running version 8.9?!

The 'double click on folder' crash was fixed on the latest 8.11 release.

i was running the 8.11 beta, then was out of town for 3 weeks, got back yesterday and was prompted to update to the final build. which i did.

also, noticed that i still have the nextstart systray being see thru sometimes, and i see the windows taskbar underneath, and when i right click to goto preferences, it crashes. very strange, i posted about that in another thread
