 Post subject: Installation Problems

Just downloaded, get an "Error 5 Access Denied Error" when running setup. Running XP. Iv been the only user of the machine and have all admin rights. Tried creating new acct with admin rights and unistalling Anti-Virus. Any ideas?

Could be a number of things specific to your system...

Is 'Error 5 - Acess Denied' all you get? No information regarding the folder or file causing the problem?

Also, open a command prompt window and type in the following to check and report back your current temp folder:

ECHO %TEMP%

if %TEMP% returns nothing, try %TMP% instead.

Also, have you tried restarting Windows already?

Another user here had a similar error message and eventually found out it was his personal firewall (can't remember which brand) that was blocking it. Very odd that a firewall would block a local install, but he disabled that firewall software and it installed fine.
