I don't remember how I did it last time, I do know that it took me hours to do it but I forgot
What I wanted to disable was the shelf editor, the thing at the bottom like a file map that shuffles open and has various taps, you can easily make new taps and delete them but when one is left that function is suddenly missing and it is this shelf I want gone cause I find it rather annoying actually, I used to halve my workshelf in the lower right corner but this one is still in the way
I also searched the forums but the only thing I could find were bla's about the workshelf being disabled, which is the entire program part which I don't want

so could anyone help this nob out?

also one more silly question, when you undock a position and for example game or do something else fullscreen I sometimes find my dock floating on a different location, is there a way to just lock the position on a spot you want it to be? (and by that I don't mean the allign left/right, upper/bottom things that are standard but a location you want yourself)

Ok, for your first question: on the screenshot I see the Shelf with 5 tabs: Adobe, 3D & Music, Burning & Ripping, Games and Other.

What exactly do you want to do? You want to prevent the whole Shelf (with its 5 tabs) from appearing?

As for your second question, WorkShelf will always make sure floating docks are visible when you switch to a lower screen resolution, so it moves them automatically when you lower your screen resolution (something that can happen when you play a full screen game) and the dock becomes off-screen. Unfortunately it does not put them back where they were when the screen resolution is increased again.

I'll try to fix this in the next release.

okay that explain that part which leaves only my other question

I used the have the normal dock, nothing with tabs just the icons and I didn't have the portraited bar in my screen when I had the dock
so how can I turn off or hide the bar I have in that picture

Right click on the left mini-tab, select 'Dock and Shelf Management' from the context menu and 'Close Shelf' from the sub-menu.

Okay this is me probably being blind or something
the left mini-tab is that the round thingy in the corner on the left side? If so I don't see any Dock and Shelf management in that menu, I do see preferences but that brings me to that big screen where you can adjust the preferences for all modules (the About workshelf screen)

Karu, you're using an older version of Winstep Xtreme.

Latest version is 8.11. In the lower right corner of the About tab in WorkShelf Preferences, what is the version number displayed?

Also, are you a registered Winstep user? If so, did you register less than one year ago?

I have an old version yes, I have to renew for the latest update but allas no cash >.<
