Eh?

That's not possible, sorry. :P

We are talking about the *Windows* Start Menu, not the main NextSTART menu, right? Can you please post a screenshot of the Start Menu Organizer with the changes you made and the Windows Start Menu without those changes (pressing the PRT-SCR key will capture a screenshot of your desktop and put it in the clipboard, from where you can then paste it into a graphics program, if that helps)?

Yes, now I do.

I think I understand what the problem is... You expect the Start Menu to look like the Categories panel on the left. Well, that won't happen until you've dragged everything in the right panel into the categories at the left.

Ideally the right panel would be empty or nearly empty.

But, before you do this and given the complexity of your Start Menu, please do a backup of your current Start Menu structure just to be on the safe side: Main -> Backup Start Menu.

Then you can do everything in one go or do some changes, hit Apply, make sure the changes were applied to the Start Menu, and so on...

I had same issue- the standard win 7 (64)start menu comes up instead of winstep modified start menu - and all my shortcuts are indeed catagorized - rebooted, etc - still there is no relationship to win step menu organizer and the start menu. Help! Thanks.

Can you please post a screenshot showing the SMO and the Windows 7 Start Menu with the content of 'All Programs' visible? Just press the PRTSCN key to capture the screenshot with the Windows Start Menu open and paste the image into a paint program.

You nailed it - The new menu shows up in "All Programs", not in the root menu. Many thanks.
