Is it possible to combine taskbar icons so they are sort of "nested" on the dock icon? Windows 7 provides the option to "Always combine, hide labels" for open programs. Then, hovering over the dock icon would show thumbnails of the instances of open windows for that icon, rather than opening separate icons on the dock showing the open instances.

Anybody know if this is possible with either the free or paid versions of Nexus dock

Thanks for responding. Actually, it does open as you show. What I'm wondering is if the nesting can take place on the dock icon (shortcut), like it does in Windows 7. Here's a screen print.

Ah, no, not currently - that's on the to-do list though.

Thanks for the speedy reply. Any ETA on the enhancement? It will really add to the aesthetics of the dock as well as improving navigation. It's a lot nicer just hovering over the icon you know will always be there than looking for the "open" icon on the right side of the dock.

No ETA, sorry. v12.2 was just released, so the next official update is likely 3-4 months away (with, perhaps, a maintenance release in-between).

There's ample space for improvement in Winstep applications, so there is currently a lot of stuff in the to-do list - but still only a pair of arms.
